Rhyu Foundation Scholarship

Application Requirements

Thank you for your interest in applying for a Rhyu Foundation scholarship.

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the Rhyu Foundation Community Service Scholarship:

Attend, currently, or be accepted to attend for the following academic year a career certification program, 2- or 4-year college or university, technical college, or other program as determined by the Organization’s Board of Directors.
Must be a full-time student in good-standing
Must be at least 14 years old
Must have at least a 2.0 GPA
Must not be directly related to any member of the Board of Directors.
It is not necessary to be a United States citizen to apply.
Be of Korean heritage (optional)

Application materials must include:

Full name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and name of the college/career program you are attending or planning to attend
If you are not currently attending a career certification program, 2- or 4-year college or university, or technical college, please include your acceptance letter to the program you plan to attend.
In under 250 words answering the question, How will you give back to society while attending college?
In under 250 words answer one of the following questions:

What is one thing you can do today to improve your local community, and how would you accomplish this goal?
What is the most important cause facing our world today, and Why is it so important?
Is it better to volunteer your time or donate money and why?
If you could start your own charity, what would your mission be and why?

Completed application packets can be submitted to rhyufoundation@gmail.com. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

At this time, scholarship applications will be accepted and considered on a rolling basis throughout the year. Any selected winners will be announced publicly by August 30 each year.

The number of scholarships awarded and the scholarship amounts awarded will be determined by the Board of Directors and may vary by recipient and will vary from year to year.
